Wiper Patriotic Front presidential flagbearer Kalonzo Musyoka has made a passionate appeal to Kenyan youth to register en masse as voters to kick out the Kenya Kwanza administration.

Speaking during Wiper's National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at Uhuru Park, Nairobi, on Friday, Kalonzo urged young Kenyans to exercise their constitutional rights and use the ballot to bring about change.

"If you have not registered, I implore you to register as voters," Kalonzo said.

He emphasised that registering to vote would ensure Kenya Kwanza becomes a one-term administration.

"When we rise together, no mountain is too high, no government can suppress us. When we rise together, Kenya will rise again."

The candidate highlighted concerns about government oppression, remarking:

"This government ordered that you be shot, not in the head but in the leg because you dared to exercise your constitutional rights."

He called upon young Kenyans, especially the Gen Z population, to "shoot this government at the ballot" and emphasised that the moment for change is now.

Kalonzo pledged to champion honest leadership, be just, and provide equal opportunities for all Kenyans.

"Hope is alive and together we shall reclaim our country, rebuild our economy and restore the dignity of every Kenyan household," he stated, promising a revolution of hope fueled by the unbroken Kenyan spirit.

The event officially endorsed Kalonzo as Wiper Patriotic Front's presidential candidate for the 2027 General Elections.

Amid cheers from the delegates, Kalonzo accepted the nomination, declaring,:

"I accept your nomination to be your presidential candidate for the elections scheduled for 2027."

Notable political figures who attended the NDC included former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, PLP leader Martha Karua, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, and former National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.

Alongside endorsing Kalonzo, the convention ratified key resolutions such as rebranding the party from Wiper Democratic Movement to Wiper Patriotic Front. The delegates also endorsed a comprehensive roadmap for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
