

A body
of a man was found floating on the Indian Ocean in Mtwapa area after suspected
murder.
Police
said the victim’s hands had been tied from behind with a black plastic rope.
Police
suspect the victim was murdered and dumped in the area.
The
body was discovered on Tuesday evening at a beach by locals who were venturing the place.
Police
said the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other
investigations.
The
motive of the murder was not immediately known.
Elsewhere
in Nyandorera area, Siaya county, a teenage boy was found dead in a bush after
suspected murder.
Police
said the body of the 17-year-old boy had deep cuts on the hands and legs, and
there were marks of strangulation on his neck.
Police said the boy had stepped out of their house on Tuesday after being called by a neighbour and failed to return.
His body was found about 50 metres from their house.
Police
were called to the area later on and rescued a 40-year-old man suspected of the
murder.
The
body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said they are
investigating the murder and motive.
In a different incident, a man was found dead
after being hacked by his girlfriend in a domestic fight in Tegat area, Bomet county.
Police identified the
deceased as Emmanuel Kiprono, 26.
He had deep cuts in the
back of his head when the body was found in his house on Monday, police
said. He was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital, police said.
The motive of the attack
was not immediately established. Some relatives claimed the two had argued over
a mobile phone.
Police said a relative of the deceased had called seeking help after finding him bleeding and unresponsive.
The girlfriend who was in the house with the deceased was missing, and efforts to trace her are ongoing, police officials said.

the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
Meanwhile,
a police officer died after being hit by a speeding car
along the Eastern bypass in Nairobi.
Police said the incident
happened on Tuesday and left Constable Moses Gichuru of the Administration
Police Training Campus dead.
The officer was riding
his bicycle from the college gate towards Utawala area when a speeding car hit
him from behind in the morning hours.
The car did not stop, even as the victim fell on the tarmac, sustaining serious injuries.
The victim was rushed to
the hospital where he was pronounced dead while being attended to.
Police said a hunt for the car involved in the accident is ongoing.
Teams were reviewing security cameras on the route as part of efforts to trace the driver for justice.
