The County Government of Kiambu has invited applications for 200 job vacancies.
In the Department of Administration and Public Service Management, there is one vacancy for the position of Director of Public Participation on a contract basis.
The Department of Finance and Economic Planning has two vacancies on contract: one for Deputy Director of Supply Chain Management and one for Assistant Director of Supply Chain Management.
The Department of Roads, Transport, Public Works, and Utilities has 30 vacancies for Drivers, all on contract.
The Department of Health Services is recruiting 77 Medical Specialists on contract.
The vacancies include 15 positions each for Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, General Surgeons, Psychiatrists, and eight each for Paediatric Dentists, Radiologists, Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Physicians.
The salary scale for Medical Specialists ranges from sh. 102,860 with incremental steps up to sh. 137,070 per month.
Medical Specialists will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating patients; providing specialized clinical care and psycho-social interventions; conducting clinical services, training, consultations, and surgeries.
Performing forensic and medicolegal services; coordinating health education and promotion; implementing health projects and programmes; maintaining health information systems; coordinating disease surveillance, prevention, and control; monitoring health treatment and care; conducting health research; and analysing medical reports.
Applicants for the Medical Specialist positions must have at least three years’ experience as assistant director of medical services or medical specialist II, or an equivalent role.
They must hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.Ch.B) degree from a recognized institution and a Master of Medicine degree in one of the relevant specialties.
A valid Certificate of Registration and practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council is mandatory.
Additional qualifications, such as a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development and computer application skills, are advantageous.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, a detailed curriculum vitae with contacts of three referees, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, a national identity card or passport, and any other supporting documents. Applications must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the position applied for. They should be dropped in the designated box at the County Public Service Board offices, Room 103, first floor, Thika Sub-County offices.
The deadline for submission is Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide original identity documents, academic and professional certificates, and obtain clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Higher Education Loans Board, and Credit Reference Bureau.
