Mwala MP and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Organising Secretary Vincent Kawaya has affirmed that the Kenya Kwanza administration remains steadfast in its development agenda, despite mounting criticism from political opponents.

Speaking at Ng'imuriae Primary School in Kerio Valley Ward during a women empowerment programme, Kawaya — who stood in for President William Ruto at the event — said the government will not be swayed by “leaders who specialise in criticism without offering solutions.”

“While others shout from rooftops, we are on the ground rolling out real empowerment programmes. This government delivers, not complains,” Kawaya declared.

He assured locals that the Kenya Kwanza government is implementing development equitably across all regions, from the north to the coast, and will not discriminate in the delivery of services and opportunities.

Kawaya, a key political ally of President Ruto and his point man in Ukambani, used the occasion to reaffirm the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

He pledged to return to Turkana with additional state-backed initiatives, particularly targeting women and youth empowerment.

“No part of Kenya will be left behind,” Kawaya said, underscoring Kenya Kwanza’s development vision.

Turkana Central MP Joseph Namuar Emathe and other grassroots leaders accompanied Kawaya during the event.

Kawaya’s remarks come amid a political war of words between President Ruto’s allies and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who recently accused the current administration of reversing development gains made during his tenure.

In response, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and other senior leaders defended the Ruto administration, insisting that their policies — including the newly launched Social Health Authority (SHA) — are aimed at expanding access to services.

“President Ruto’s administration is trying. Those questioning its decisions can do so, but with facts. They shouldn’t lie,” Kindiki stated.

Uhuru, in his recent public remarks, said his government left behind a “more connected and cohesive country,” suggesting that some of those gains are being undone under the current administration.

Despite the escalating political rhetoric, Kawaya reiterated that Kenya Kwanza’s focus remains firmly on service delivery, not political battles.

“Our work is to transform lives, not to engage in endless arguments. We welcome constructive criticism, but we won't allow empty noise to distract us,” he said.
