President William Ruto and his deputy, Kithure Kindiki, will on Monday attend the burial of National Assembly Majority leader, Kimani Ichung’wah’s father, Mzee Isaac Ichung’wah Ngugi.

Mzee Ichung’wah died on September 5, 2025 and will be laid to rest today.

A memorial service, which was attended by close allies, colleagues, friends and family members was held on Sunday at the MP’s rural home.

Several other leaders, including Cabinet Secretaries and other elected ranks are expected to attend the funeral at their rural home.

He was aged 105 and is reported to have died peacefully in his sleep.

He had been admitted to Karen Hospital for a week before being discharged a week before his death.

Kikuyu MP Ichung’wah is a key ally of President William Ruto and an influential figure in Kenya Kwanza’s parliamentary agenda.
