Ruto mourns Governor Wamatangi's sister

President William has mourned Governor Kimani Wamatangi’s sister, Winnie Nyambura.

In a statement on Friday, the President stated he has the family, friends and the people of Kiambu in his thoughts and prayers at this painful time. 

“May the Lord grant Governor Kimani Wamatangi strength to bear with the loss of his dear sister, Winnie Nyambura,” he said.

“Rest In Peace, Winnie.”

Wamatangi announced his sister’s passing away in a post on Facebook. 

“Death is cruel. It takes from us the people we love and cherish, leaving a hurting void,” he said.

He pointed out that despite the pain, he accepts the will of God, “because it's in Him, we take comfort during such times”.

“Rest in eternal peace, my sister, Winnie Peninah Nyambura. As a family, we cherish the times God allowed us to be together,” he said.

“Go well Nyambura.”
