The Jubilee Party has announced a Special National Delegates Convention (NDC) set for September 26, 2025, at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi.

The convention, convened by party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, will commence at 8 a.m. and is expected to be a significant milestone in Jubilee’s bid to rebuild and regain momentum.

According to the official notice, delegates will receive a status report from the National Executive Committee (NEC), followed by deliberations on reviewing, formulating, and approving the party’s constitution, organs, policies, and programmes.

The meeting will also consider and approve any other pressing matters affecting the party.

The Special NDC is poised to be a defining moment for Jubilee as it aims to reposition itself on Kenya’s political landscape, rebuilding its structures and renewing its relevance ahead of future political contests.

This follows the party’s recent NEC meeting, which was chaired virtually by Uhuru —marking his first active leadership role since the party resolved a series of internal legal disputes that had created a leadership vacuum.

The NEC session focused on assessing Jubilee’s current state, monitoring ongoing activities, and outlining a strategic plan for revitalising the party’s national presence.

“The meeting deliberated on key issues affecting the party, including a comprehensive review of party affairs, progress on ongoing programmes, and strategic plans for reinvigorating the party’s structures and operations,” a Jubilee Party statement read.

Deputy Secretary General Pauline Njoroge described the NEC meeting as a crucial reaffirmation of Jubilee’s values and direction.

She emphasised that the party remains committed to its role in opposition, pledging to continue defending the interests and rights of Kenyans amid a rapidly evolving political environment.

The Special NDC is expected to set the stage for Jubilee’s renewed efforts under Uhuru’s leadership.

The former president regained full control of the party following a prolonged legal battle, culminating in a High Court ruling in September 2024 and a subsequent gazette notice in June 2025 that reinstated Uhuru Kenyatta and his team as the legitimate party leadership.
