This week began with activities ranging from political to social events.

The week saw President William Ruto host Harambee Stars team at State House for a Luncheon.

This is even as activist Boniface Mwangi launched his 2027 general elections presidential bid.

As this happened, Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, among other leaders, graced Katiba Day at KICC.

The week also saw NYS conduct their passing-out parade in Gilgil, Nakuru.

President William Ruto hosted Harambee Stars and other athletes for a celebratory lunch at State House, Nairobi.

He congratulated the Stars for their remarkable performance at this year’s CHAN tournament. 

The President called upon the sportsmen and women to keep pushing boundaries, to keep aiming higher, to keep believing in themselves, as the country stands firmly behind them.

Ruto said to motivate and support the team further, the government has committed to meeting half the cost of two-bedroom units under the Affordable Housing programme and extending access to affordable mortgages to help our athletes offset the balance.

President Ruto led the country in marking 15 years since the promulgation of the 2010 constitution on August 27, 2025

The President was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, among other leaders.

The leaders joined Kenyans in marking fifteen years of progress and achievements of the 2010 constitution.

The colourful celebration was held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

Ruto hosts Kiambu leaders

A delegation from Kiambu County hosted at State House, Nairobi, by President William Ruto on August 27, 2025/PCS

President William Ruto hosted a delegation from Kiambu County at State House, Nairobi, on Wednesday morning.

The delegation included religious leaders, elected leaders, the business community and youth.

The visit came barely two weeks after Ruto hosted another delegation from Kisii and Nyamira counties.

The President has intensified engagements with various regional and community delegations at the State House in recent months.

NYS-Passing-Out Parade 

 President William Ruto graces the NYS parade during their passing-out parade in Nakuru / PCS 

President William Ruto graced the National Youth Service (NYS) Recruits Passing-Out Parade at the NYS Paramilitary Academy in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

Over 18,000 recruits graduated.

Ruto said the government will ensure more young Kenyans benefit and expand recruitment into the NYS from the current 20,000 to 100,000 by the year 2028.
