KUCCPS opens portal for KMTC September intake
Applications are open from June 23 to July 7, 2025.
The application window runs from August 15 to 28.
In Summary
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its portal for the 2025 September intake at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). The application targets students seeking placement in Diploma and Certificate programmes.
The application window, which runs from August 15 to 28, targets KCSE students who were not placed during the first round or missed the initial application.
KUCCPS is urging all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their preferred college or TVET programme choices before the deadline.
Applications should be made online through the KUCCPS student portal at student.kuccps.net. In its notice, KUCCPS emphasized the urgency of the exercise, reminding students: “Don’t miss out! Apply now to secure your chance.”
To begin the process, applicants must log in to the portal using their KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password—either their Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Index Number.
Once logged in, students can browse the KMTC Programmes tab to view available courses and check the minimum entry requirements. Only applicants who meet these requirements are eligible to apply.
After selecting their preferred programmes, students are required to note down the Programme Codes, then start the application by clicking on the KMTC Application tab and choosing Apply Now. They must then enter the Programme Codes in order of preference, from the most to the least desired.
When the system retrieves the course details, applicants can submit their final choices and proceed to pay the mandatory application fee of Sh1,500, as guided by the payment instructions provided on the portal.
This announcement comes a week after KUCCPS reduced the application fee for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) placements in the September 2025 intake. The fee was lowered from Sh1,500 to Sh500, a move aimed at boosting access and encouraging more students to enrol.
Applications are open from June 23 to July 7, 2025.
Applicants should log in to the KUCCPS Student Portal to check.
