Kenyan content creators now have a chance to turn their creativity into a dream coastal getaway, thanks to the newly launched “Hapa ni Songa Play” challenge by Radio Africa Group.
The campaign is designed to boost awareness and usage of Songa Play, a fast-growing digital streaming platform that offers curated, ready-to-use audio clips from Kenya’s most popular radio shows.
These include fan favourites from Kiss 100, Classic 105, Radio Jambo, and HBR.
To participate, creators should visit SongaPlay.com, download a clip from the chopped audio section, and use it to make original, engaging content.
Find any trending sound in the Songa Sound section. Download your favourite sound and create a fun, original video and post your video on any social media platform.
The content can be shared on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, as long as it tags Songa Play, includes the platform’s link, and uses the hashtag #HapaNiSongaPlay.
“This is the secret to winning. It’s Songa Play! Visit songaplay.com, download an audio from the chopped audio section, and create your best content using it. Post it on your socials, tag Songa Play, and include the link to the site. That’s it! You could be the lucky one heading to paradise,” a statement from RAG said.
Presenters on Kiss FM’s drive show, Classic FM’s breakfast show, and both breakfast and drive shows on Radio Jambo are encouraging listeners to join in and put their creative spin on the audios.
The grand prize is a fully paid three-day, two-night trip for two to Diani, complete with sun, sand, and coastal charm.
Monthly winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, and audience engagement with their content.
To ensure all content is used responsibly, Songa Play requires users to accept terms and conditions before downloading any clips to safeguard the platform and participants from copyright infringement issues while promoting ethical content creation.
The “Hapa ni Songa Play” challenge is set to run over several weeks, giving creators multiple chances to participate and win.
