SportPesa Mega Jackpot Winner Bonnie Kamau has revealed his mother's advice.

Speaking during an unveiling ceremony on Wednesday, Kamau said his mother called him after he won Sh424,660,618.

"I did not want to tell her. After she knew, she told me to go on vacation and decide how I want to use my money," he said.

Kamau said his mother cried at the news, almost cracking his calm, seemingly nonchalant nature.

"Unajua damu tu...(You know the power of kinship)," he joked.

Kamau also revealed that the first person he called after SportPesa CEO Karauri gave him the news was his wife.

Almost one hour and 30 minutes later, he made the call that his wife could not believe.

"She told me to stop joking and hang up the call," he said.

He called thrice before his wife finally believed him.

Kamau also revealed that he has won jackpot before, with the former highest amount being Sh171,000 from SportPesa.

He said, besides his family, he is planning on helping his community.

"I might drill a borehole for my community back at home," he said. Kamau attributed his win to God.

"God always got me. He is always with me. It is all God," he said.

Kamau is the fourth winner of the SportPesa mega jackpot and the first since 2018.
