

Ruto dismissed such threats as empty political rhetoric, insisting he remains firmly focused on delivering his transformation agenda for the nation.
“We will not succumb to the blackmail of one term. We know where we are going as a nation," he said.
"We are transforming our healthcare so that even ordinary citizens can go to the hospital in our SHA program, and we will not we will never succumb to your threat of one term, because we know where we are going as a nation."
Addressing more than 15,000 youth at the State House, Nairobi, during the Nairobi County Empowerment Programme on Saturday, Ruto pledged to transform agriculture, improve education, build an inclusive economy, and strengthen healthcare through the Social Health Authority programme.
The President accused his rivals of having no concrete agenda for the country, while reiterating that the broad-based government model remains the way forward.
Ruto also announced that starting next month, youths across the country will access Sh5 billion from the World Bank for empowerment projects.
He said 70 entrepreneurs, mainly youth, in every ward will each get Sh50,000 to start or expand their businesses, targeting a total of 100,000 beneficiaries countrywide.
During the Saturday event, the youth received various equipment to enable them to start businesses.
It included motorbikes, car wash machines and portable concrete mixers.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, among other leaders from the city, attended.
