President William Ruto has held a breakfast meeting with the national football team, Harambee Stars, ahead of their campaign in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The meeting, held at the Pullman hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi, was aimed at boosting the team's morale as they prepare to represent Kenya on the continental stage.
The meeting comes as Kenya prepares its debut in the highly anticipated 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where it will feature as one of the host nations in the biennial tournament, which brings together 19 teams made up exclusively of players from domestic leagues.
Kenya, together with Tanzania and Uganda, will co-host the tournament, which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, August 2, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam and conclude on Saturday, August 30, at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi.
