Nairobi’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination, The Hub Karen, has marked its ninth anniversary with a vibrant Food Festival, treating visitors to a blend of culinary delights and family entertainment.
The celebration held on July 29, brought together local and international food operators, offering shoppers a chance to enjoy signature dishes, live cooking demonstrations and engaging activities for all ages.
Speaking during the festivities, The Hub Karen General Manager Jacobus Visser said the anniversary is a major milestone for the mall and its community.
“We are proud to celebrate nine years of delivering world-class experiences to our customers,” said Visser.
“We continue to grow each year and remain committed to giving our customers the very best, as Nairobi’s leading destination for shopping, dining and family entertainment.”
Guests at the event sampled an array of dishes ranging from traditional African meals to exotic options like Japanese sushi, Indian curries, Mexican flavours, fast foods, gourmet coffees and desserts.
The celebrations also featured traditional dances and a ceremonial cake cutting, attended by the mall’s management, staff and selected tenants.
Visser extended appreciation to the people and partners who have supported the mall over the years.
“Thank you to every tenant, partner, employee and customer who has been part of our 9-year journey. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter, one of continued innovation, growth, and shared experiences.”
Since its opening in May 2016, The Hub Karen has grown into one of the largest and most vibrant retail and leisure destinations in Nairobi.
It currently hosts over 95 local and international tenants, including supermarkets, gyms, medical clinics, fashion outlets, toy stores and family entertainment venues.
