Inject party leader Kebaso Morara has broken his silence, defending his reputation and life’s work amid relentless online attacks and accusations of dishonesty.

In a statement titled "I need my life, my reputation and my future," Morara said he has been unfairly labelled a conman by people who once supported his initiatives.

Morara lamented that the trolls had tarnished a name he had spent years building with "pain and resilience."

“I sacrificed everything that I could give. My sweat, time, energy, brains and resources because I believed,” he said in a post on X that he has since deleted.

“Yet you call me a conman in front of my family, my friends and my clients, people who have known and trusted me since childhood.”

Morara decried the toll the allegations have taken on his mental and emotional health, saying the constant trolling and pressure have left him unable to eat or rest.

“You shred a reputation that has been built with pain and resilience because you believe everyone does stuff for money,” he said.

He added that he has always served the community out of a sense of purpose, not for personal gain.

He emphasised that the contributions he received were given voluntarily and used exactly for their intended purpose.

“Whatever you were contributing for, I did it every day, every hour, without getting tired,” he stated.

Refusing to be defeated by the backlash, Morara declared that he is not quitting public service. Instead, he announced plans to take a short break to regroup and re-energise.

“To those who see this as a failure, they should know I am here to stay. After I’m done with this, I will take a break to re-energise,” he said.

“The next time you see me, I will either be in the State House or on the Forbes List.”

In confidence, Morara fired at his critics, saying, “I’m not going to fail, if you think I will.”

This came a day after he declared his readiness to refund all the money donated to him by Kenyans during the “Vampire Diaries” exposé tours.

On Friday, Morara asked anyone who ever contributed to his campaign machinery to share their M-Pesa records as he was ready to refund the donations and prove his detractors wrong.

He clarified that the financial support was solely meant for his accountability mission, not a political campaign.

“If you need a refund for any contribution you made, kindly reply below with your M-Pesa messages or transaction codes for verification so I can process your refund,” Morara said.
