Political activist and INJECT Party leader Kebaso Morara has a promising future in Kenya’s politics, Alengo Usonga MP Samuel Atandi has said.

In a statement on Monday, Atandi said Morara is a realistic and honest young man, traits he says will help him succeed in the county's political landscape.

Atandi, while weighing in on the remarks made by Morara, agreed with him that the Kenyan political landscape remains predominantly ethnic based and that what many call the Gen Z revolution is non-existent.

The legislator, however, said that what Morara is missing is mentorship, recommending that he look for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for it.

“Mr Morara Kebaso is a realistic and honest young man who has a future in Kenya’s politics. I would like to have him quickly visit Baba, Raila Odinga, for some tutorial/ mentorship program. Your views on the “ethnic” Kenya are factual, and the so-called Gen Z revolution does not exist,” Atandi said on X.

His remarks come hot on the heels of Morara’s assertion that Kenyan politics is driven by ethnic association, whereby one must belong to a party from a particular region to win a seat.

He has also been vocal about how the country's leadership works.

After founding his Inject Party, Morara worked with some opposition parties but later jumped ship, accusing them of not having the interests of Kenyans at heart, but their own.

He further accused the opposition outfit in Kenya of having no vision for the country.

Morara said the opposition's only focus is to remove President William Ruto from office, and nothing beyond that.

He went on to say that Kenyan youths must not fall for that, and they must think about how they can address the many ills affecting their country, including corruption, unemployment, and justice, among other issues.

“I encourage the youths of Kenya not to board that bus of tribalism, clueless opposition leaders who are only uniting but do not have a vision, except removing the President. Our vision must go beyond William Ruto.

“We must think beyond removing the President. What is our vision? What is our stand on corruption? How will we turn around our economy and give jobs and opportunities to young people who have given up hope in this country? How will we deliver justice to victims of police brutality? These are the questions that linger in our minds, and we are not boarding that vehicle of tribal alliances,” Morara said.
