Kenya Rugby Union Announces Vacancy for Kenya Sevens Team Manager

The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a vacancy for the position of Kenya Sevens National Team Manager, inviting qualified individuals to apply for the role.
According to the Union, the Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall administration, logistics, and operations of the Kenya Sevens national team.
The selected candidate will work closely with the technical bench and KRU to ensure the team's optimal preparation and performance both locally and internationally.

The deadline for submission is midnight on July 21, 2025.
To be considered for the role, candidates must hold at least a post-secondary qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate), be fluent in both English and Kiswahili, and demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications such as word processing and data management.
Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience as a team manager at a division one club or national team level.
They must also be Kenyan citizens and possess certifications in Rugby Ready, Safeguarding, and Laws.
The successful candidate will manage all off-field operations concerning logistics for the squad during both local and international assignments.
This includes handling administration and budgeting tasks while supporting the players and technical staff to ensure smooth, professional, and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities will include providing leadership in managing the team alongside the head coach, chairing meetings in the absence of the head coach, and coordinating logistics for training sessions, matches, and travel.
The manager will also be tasked with conducting advance assessments of training and match facilities, offering mental skills support to players and staff, and serving as a liaison between the head coach and the KRU secretariat.
Additional duties will involve managing paperwork related to visas, immigration, and travel documentation for both players and coaching staff.
The manager will also serve as the primary media liaison for the team and represent players in disciplinary matters when required.
KRU noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next phase of the selection process.
