President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki are expected to attend a church service at St. Mark's Kigari Teachers College in Embu county.
The service will form part of the 35th Diocesan Anniversary celebrations and a fundraiser.
The Head of State and his deputy have maintained a tradition of worshipping with various congregations across the country.
They are often using the platforms to make political pronouncements and connect with communities at the grassroots.
The service comes after Ruto’s trip to Europe and the United Kingdom, where he signed several bilateral deals.
Kindiki on the other hand, pitched tent at the Kenyan coast where he spearheaded the empowerment forums for small-scale business people across various counties.
The President and his deputy have recently defended the Kenya Kwanza administration’s fiscal policies, urging Kenyans to be patient as reforms take shape.
His critics, including opposition figures and former allies, contend that the government is burdening citizens with unsustainable levies.
Ruto and Kindiki will be hosted by Governor Cecily Mbarire of Embu County.
“Karibu Embu,” she wrote on Facebook.
They will be joined by a host of other leaders from the executive down to the grassroots.
