Speaking at Afya House, Duale emphasised the importance of skilled, ethical health workers in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
“I call on every intern to serve with humility, discipline and professionalism,” Duale said.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to timely, transparent internship deployment and workforce development aligned to global standards.
Duale was accompanied by Public Health Principal Secretary and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni, Health Director General Patrick Amoth, KMPDU Secretary General Davji Atellah, KNUN Secretary General Seth Panyako and KUCO CEO George Gibore.
Similarly, the event was attended by senior Ministry officials and leaders from key health unions.
