
Police are investigating at least four murder cases reported on Wednesday in
different parts of the country.
In Nakuru County, detectives in Naivasha
Sub-county are probing a suspected murder after the mutilated body of an
unknown woman was discovered near the railway line in Maili Mbili village,
Karagita area.
The body, found with only the head and chest intact, had missing limbs.
Efforts to recover the missing parts were unsuccessful.
Crime scene officers documented the scene, and
the body was taken to Naivasha Sub-county Referral Hospital morgue for
identification and autopsy.
The motive remains unknown as DCI Naivasha continues investigations.
In Kaptembwo, Nakuru West, a 32-year-old man
identified as Pius Morebu was found dead with fresh marks on his neck.
A resident discovered the body early on June 16, 2025, beside a footpath
connecting Mother Kevin-Kaptembwo Road.
Police processed the scene and moved the body
to PGH Level 5 Hospital mortuary. No weapon was recovered, no arrests have been
made, and the motive is still unclear. An inquest file has been opened.
In Kitui County’s Mwingi West Sub-county,
police are investigating the suspected murder of 75-year-old Sarah Musyoka.
Her decomposing body was found on Kamuyuni Hill, Kavalyani Sub-location, by
a local resident.
The victim had multiple injuries and a broken
left leg, suggesting she may have been rolled down the hill. The body was taken
to Migwani Level IV Hospital mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue.
In Nyandarua County, a 30-year-old woman,
Mourine Mandela Nyamboke, was found murdered in her rental house in the Vatican
area of Olkalou Sub-county. Her body was lying in a pool of blood with a deep
cut at the back of the neck.
Police from Olkalou Station and DCI Nyandarua
Central processed the scene and moved the body to JM Kariuki Hospital mortuary.
All four cases are under investigation by the
respective DCI units. Authorities are urging members of the public to share any
information that could help identify the suspects and prevent further killings.
