Six people dead by suicide, police report

Police have reported six death on suicide, the report from the police states GIDEONS 

Police in Trans Nzoia County are investigating a suspected suicide case involving a 34-year-old man identified as Gad Kiptoo.

In a statement issued by authorities at Naisambu Police Station, it was reported that the deceased was found dead at his residence in All Saints area, approximately 8 kilometres north of the station.

Kiptoo is said to have used a mosquito net to hang himself.

No suicide note was recovered at the scene, and the motive for the suicide remains unknown as police launch investigations for the cause.

The body was documented and moved to Kijana Wamalwa Referral Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Kiminini is handling the case, which is currently pending under investigation.

Meanwhile in Kamukunji, Nairobi, 22-year-old Victor Macharia was discovered hanging in his one bedroom house.

His cousin, reported the incident to the police.

Similarly, in Kaloleni, Kilifi, Mwakiru Kithi, 85, committed suicide inside his house, with officers noting he had previously attempted suicide.

In another incident in Machakos Paul Ngila, 28, was found hanging by binding wire in a residence where he worked as a shamba boy.

A suicide note was recovered at the scene.

Taita Taveta County also recorded a suicide case involving a man aged 24, who used a shoelace to hang himself in Mwaranginyi area, Voi.

The body was moved to Voi Moi Referral and Hospital Mortuary pending investigations.

Police  have launched investigations into the incidents.
