as President William Ruto met artists at State House, Nairobi, who appraised him of issues affecting their sector.

Financial Year.

Protest over Ojwang’s death
Protesters came out on Thursday to demonstrate against the death of Albert Ojwang, demanding the resignation of Deputy IG Eliud Lagat.
There were running battles between the police and protesters as tear gas was thrown to disperse them.
The demonstrations turned chaotic after protesters resorted to destructive measures to express their grievances. The protesters torched two vehicles along Aga Khan Walk in Nairobi.

Others took to destroying the newly installed garbage bins, which were meant to improve Nairobi’s cleanliness.

The symbolic gesture captured attention as they strode purposefully toward Parliament.

A red flower was pinned neatly to the left lapel of their coats, adding a touch of ceremony and coordination to their appearance.
Mbadi carried the iconic black budget briefcase, marked with the Kenya coat of arms and the word Harambee, a time-honoured symbol of national fiscal planning.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined African leaders at the fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, China.
This is aimed at fostering stronger economic ties between China and Africa.

Ruto meets artists
President William Ruto on Monday met a section of artists at State House, Nairobi.
The President said the artistes apprised him of the issues affecting their sector and agreed to work together for a better Kenya for all.

He said Kenya will be transformed by leaders who are prepared to take bold and decisive steps to change the lives of the people.
“Through bold decisions, we have made great strides in stabilising the economy, increasing agricultural productivity and enhancing social security for a better future,” he added.
Kindiki’s dancing skills

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki stole the show in Kitui South when he broke into dance, joining the women dancers during the Constituency Economic Empowerment Programme.
Kindiki, in his speech, affirmed the government's commitment to grassroots development, saying Kenyans will soon see the value of their taxes in key sectors.
