At the same time, the President announced a donation of Sh4 million to help renovate the church’s roof, saying the existing asbestos roofing would be removed due to health concerns.
“I have heard your request. Give me two or three weeks, because a bus needs to be built and branded with the CCA name. I will deliver it to support the church’s work,” Ruto said.
“And regarding the roof, I’ve been told you need Sh3 to Sh4 million. I have agreed, and as I leave, I will meet your treasurer to complete that assignment.”
President Ruto noted that the government has banned the use of asbestos due to serious health risks.
Additionally, he donated Sh1 million to support the transportation of church members to a planned event in Kisumu. The amount will supplement a Sh500,000 contribution made by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
The President also promised to organise an empowerment fundraiser for Nairobi County, urging leaders to begin preparations to ensure that every ward is represented.
He was accompanied by Governor Sakaja and several Nairobi County leaders during the church service.
In his address, President Ruto praised former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for supporting the national unity agenda, saying such collaboration would help advance the country’s development.
Ruto also reaffirmed his commitment to serving Kenyans, stating that he would not be intimidated or distracted by growing criticism from the opposition.
“I am committed, I am determined, I am focused, and no amount of intimidation or name-calling will derail me. I have enough time to deliver,” said Ruto.
“This country is going to change before our very eyes. That’s why you see many people resisting, but I don’t pay attention to their noise.”
The President emphasised his administration's focus on implementing key development pillars, particularly affordable housing and universal health coverage.
