Kenya Railways announces temporary suspension of Nanyuki Safari train on Friday

The Kenya Railways has announced that the Nanyuki Safari train will be temporarily suspended on Friday, April 25, 2025

“We wish to inform members of the public that the Nanyuki Safari train will not run on Friday,” Kenya Railways said in a statement.

This is due to ongoing restoration works on a section of the line, which is hindering the movement of trains.

Kenya Railways assured that their technical teams are working to restore the line as soon as possible.

“As always, the safety of our passengers is of paramount importance to us,” the service added.

Kenya Railways apologised for any inconvenience caused and reiterated that it will restore normal services.

On Thursday, Kenya Railways suspended the morning link trains to Lukenya and Syokimau, saying this was due to a blockage of the railway line at Mukuru. 

"Kindly note that owing to a blockage of the line at Mukuru, the morning link trains to Lukenya and Syokimau will not run," Kenya Railways said in a statement on X.

It stated that it has deployed a team to remove the blockage and ensure train services are restored.

"Our team is on the ground working to ensure that normal services are restored as soon as possible," read the statement.
