KPLC lists areas in 11 counties to experience power cuts Tuesday

The utility firm says the power interruption will occur between 8am and 5pm.

Kenya Power has listed areas within 11 counties scheduled for power interruption on Tuesday to facilitate system upgrade.

The power interruption will occur at varied intervals between 8am and 5pm.

The counties to be affected are Nairobi, Kisumu, Siaya, Vihiga, Homa Bay, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Meru, Embu, Laikipia and Mombasa.

Nairobi

Areas in Nairobi to be affected will go without power from 9am to 5pm.

These are Maji Mazuri, Chieko, Santon, Gituamba, Lucky Summer Slaughterhouse and adjacent customers.

Other areas include Githurai 44 around, Sonic and adjacent customers.

Kisumu

Areas to be affected in Kisumu will experience the power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

They are Holo market, Baga Beach, Kabibi market, Obambo Market, Camp David, Shajarand Quarry and adjacent customers.

Siaya

Parts of Siaya scheduled for power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Southlands East, Anduro, Randago, Tingwangi, Nyajuok, Ojwando, Ochilo Mur Malanga, Matera, Usingo and Asere.

Vihiga

Areas in Vihiga county will experience power interruption from 8.30am to 5pm.

They include Majengo Market, Jepkoyai, Guji, Chango, Dacha Hotel and Hosp, Total, Manyatta, Chambiti, Majengo Blocks and Chango Water.

Homa Bay

Parts of Homa Bay will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm; they are Kodiera, Rambusi, Ogongo, Lwanda and adjacent customers.

Tharaka Nithi

Areas in Tharaka Nithi will face power interruption from 8.30am to 4pm.

They are Mugero Cigiki, Kanini Primary School, Muragara Market, Kabaikubu Market, Kaare Dispensary, Ngaani Primary School and adjacent customers.

Nyeri

Areas in Nyeri are scheduled for power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

They include Rititi Village, Kianjogu C/Fact, Kianjogu Village, Thaithi Market, Mahiga-ini Village, Kianjogu Dispensary, Cheru Village, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters and adjacent customers.

Customers within Blue Line, Kakuret, KWS Mt Kenya, Kamburaini, Kiriakor, Soweto, Naromoru Girls, Judea, Meree, Lusoi, Warazo, Ndathi, Mapema, Munyu Aguthi, Gitinga, Dawama, Lipela and adjacent customers will also experience power interruption.

Others are Narumoro Town, Esacco East, River Lodge Hotel, Narumoro Hospital and Sawa Miller.

Meru

Parts of Meru will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

They include Tulivu Gardens, Mitunguu market, Tunyai market, Mitunguu dispensary, Mitunguu police station, Kaurone, Mitunguu booster, Kithatu Sisters and Hospital, Kibuka Primary School and adjacent customers.

Embu

Areas in Embu will experience power interruption from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The areas include Privum Nuts, PCEA Muthatari, Nthokis Hotel, Itabua Secondary, Njumbiri Village, Kimangaru Market, Mikuuri, Kambo Village, Diocese of Embu and NTSA Mugoya.

Laikipia

Parts of Laikipia will have power cuts from 8am to 4pm.

Areas to be affected are Colour Crops, Turraco, Kalalu Farm, Ibis Farm, Greenland Farm, GAW, Sirimon, Umande, Mumeru, Ngenia, Mia Moja, Kithithina, Timau, Ngusishi and Maritati.

Mombasa

Parts of Mombasa will experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

These are Aldina Visram High School, KMTC, Coast General Hosp, Lighthouse Eye Hospital, Part of Abdel Nasser Road and adjacent customers.

Other areas are MICD, KMC, SGR Line 1, Uganda Properties, Mombasa Sewerage and adjacent customers.

Devki, Shreeji, Icolo, Transpares, Samaki Poa, Weldcon, Excel, and Total Petrol Station will also experience power interruption.
