Cabinet Secretaries have approved the establishment of Kenya House Experience 2024 in Paris, France.
According to a Cabinet dispatch, the establishment of the Kenya House Experience is part of the preparations for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
"Cabinet, in keeping with a tradition established in 2012, has approved the establishment of the Kenya House Experience 2024 in Paris, France," the Cabinet dispatch reads in part.
This comes after the Cabinet met with President William Ruto ahead of the 2024-25 budget reading session.
The Cabinet noted that the establishment of the House is in honour of the men and women in various disciplines who represent Kenya at international events.
"The House Experience will celebrate those who have continued to make our national anthem echo around capitals of the World," the ministers said.
The House Experience will showcase Kenya as the epitome of tourism being the home of mankind, according to the cabinet.
The Cabinet said the house will also promote investments and trade.
The Olympic Games in Paris, France will take place from July 26 to August 11.
Among the Kenyan athletes set to participate in the games is defending champion Peres Jepchirchir.
Jepchirchir heads for the Paris games after she broke the women's only world record at a searing pace of two hours, 16 minutes, and 16 seconds at the 2024 London Marathon.
“I know it won’t be a walk in the park and I'm expecting a vicious challenge. But I’m confident I'll accomplish my pursuit at the Summer Olympics in Paris. I've prepared myself sufficiently for the huge task ahead,” Jepchirchir remarked.
