Opposition leader Raila Odinga has arrived at Chungwa House for a meeting with the organisers of the recent Limuru III meeting.

Raila was accompanied by the National Assembly's Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi and Kisii Governor Simba Arati among other leaders.

Those in attendance were Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and former Laikipia Governor Nderitu Muriithi.

Upon arrival at the centre, he was welcomed by a group of Agikuyu dancers clad in traditional outfits.

Chungwa House is the headquarters of the ODM party.

During the recent conference held in Limuru, leaders present emphasised the need for unity of Mt Kenya region.

They also stressed that retired president Uhuru Kenyatta remains the spokesperson of the region.

"Uhuru Kenyatta is our leader and people on the other side should know that, we are here to talk of unity and we must be united for the sake of our people," former Kiambaa MP aspirant Damaris Waiganjo said.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua who is among the conveners of the meeting noted that the people of Mount Kenya will continue working together for the sake of the community.

Waiganjo also warned leaders who have disrespected Uhuru.
