One arrested, 50 bags of suspected bhang seized in Kisii

National Police Service officers from Gesonso Police Station in Kisii County on Tuesday night intercepted four vehicles and recovered 50 sacks suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.

The drugs, intercepted at the Itierio area, along Migori -Kisii Highway, are estimated at a street value of Sh37,500,000.

DCI officers from the Transnational Organized Crimes Unit were also part of the operation.

"One suspect driving a Toyota Probox was also arrested while in possession of Sh30,000 while the rest of the drivers escaped," NPS said on X.

Police also impounded four vehicles during the operation, which they detained.
