Family, friends and Tikktokers have paid their heartfelt tributes to their fallen colleague Brian Chira.

Chira was laid to rest on Tuesday at his family's home in Gathanje, Ingitei village, Githunguri in Kiambu.

His grandmother remembered Chira as a God-fearing man and the family's breadwinner.

She recounted the Tiktoker's childhood saying that he was a responsible boy who looked after his other family members.

His grandmother said that Chira was left in her care at the age of eight after his mother's death.

"Brian Chira was my first grandson, born by my first daughter. He has been my best friend since childhood. He has been providing for us and has been obedient as always. He took care of his cousins. He could wash and clean the house," she said.

Chira's grandmother said that his goal was to see the family settle in a big modern house and have a compound of their own.

She said that Chira made so many sacrifices for her to ensure the other children were well cared for.

She added that Chira opted to quit school and look for a job to help raise his cousins.

"Brian always made random visits at home. On his last visit which was on March 9, we talked about the family. I wish he knew how he was in society, but now I know, Brian is a star," she said.

"He has left a big gap in our lives. He always asked me to love him the way he was and I loved him.  My grandson, I have loved you since you came into our lives. I will surely miss you. May you find peace."
