Mohamud's arrival coincided with the exit of Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed who arrived in the country Tuesday evening for a State visit.
In a joint communique, the two heads of State reaffirmed their commitment to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
They include Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Fisheries, Transport, ICT, Tourism, Health, Culture and Forestry.
The Nairobi meeting was preceded by 36th session of the High Level Joint Ministerial Commission held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from February 19-21, 2024.
Kenya and Ethiopia deliberated on various issues of mutual interest during the meeting which culminated in the signing of seven Memorandum of Understanding.
They are cultural development, Tourism and wildlife, Blue Economy, reformatory services, petroleum and energy development and capacity building in the public sector.
