The murder trial of former Migori Governor Okoth Obado will proceed for hearing from April next year.

Parties appeared before trial Judge Cecilia Githua and settled for April 22 to 26.

Advocates also blocked May 6 to 10 as the next set of the hearing dates.

The prosecution remains with only three witnesses before it closes its case. All three are police officers.

One of them is identified as Sergeant Hassan from Homabay who was the Investigating Office when the case began.

He had been in possession of most of the exhibits and groundwork details of the case.

He is to be followed by Chief Inspector Ole Sena who will be analyzing the data presented by Safaricom and finally, Chief Inspector Clement Mwangi who is the lead Investigating officer in the matter.

In the case, the ex-county chief is among those on trial over Sharon’s murder and her unborn baby.
