President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that his government is committed to improving their lives.
The Head of State said the cost of living will soon ease following the government’s heavy investment in food production.
"The subsidised inputs have had a huge impact on our agriculture. We will have a bumper harvest this year, " Ruto said on Tuesday.
He spoke during the issuance of title deeds to more than 2,000 Embakasi Ranching Company shareholders.
Ruto said the title deeds will minimise disputes and put a value on the property.
"This will pave the way for productive use of land in our country," he added.
The President said the document will also be used as collateral in securing loans from financial institutions.
Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the programme in August 2020.
At the time, there were 35,000 shareholders of the firm and a few got their title deeds in the initial exercise overseen by Uhuru.
Uhuru also waived the Sh1 billion processing fee.
Individual applicants had been expected to pay as high as Sh30,000 for the process to be completed.
The exercise was halted in May 2021 with some 8,000 beneficiaries expected to get the new title deeds.
