Patients with chronic illnesses will have more access to healthcare services through telemedicine.
This is after Avenue Group and Curalie Health partnered to expand their telemedicine capabilities and deliver digital care to chronic disease patients.
The aim of the partnership is to increase access to quality care, improve patient outcomes and manage the cost of treatment in chronic care.
The one-year partnership will see Curalie Health’s platform integrated with Avenue Group’s existing telehealth services, enabling healthcare providers to remotely monitor and manage chronic disease patients' health status.
The platform will also provide patients with personalized health education, reminders for measuring vital data, and behavior change coaching.
According to Avenue Group CEO Imran Osman, the partnership represents a significant step towards improving access to quality care for patients with chronic disease.
“We are excited to work with Curalie Health to provide innovative and patient-centric solutions to improve patient outcomes,” Osman said.
Curalie Executive Director Africa Omron Blauo said the partnership marks an exciting achievement in the delivery of high-quality digital healthcare for chronic disease patients.
By combining Avenue's physical care with Curalie's digital remote monitoring, we aim to optimize patient care through the integration of technology and traditional healthcare services,” Blauo said.
Avenue currently operates three hospitals and 13 clinics, supplemented by multiple homecare and telehealth services, reaching more than 430,000 patients a year.
Over the last three years, the group has strengthened its management team, upgraded its facilities, and expanded its operations, while playing a critical role in the country’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Leveraging the resources of the broader Evercare network, Avenue is on a digital transformation journey, making significant investments in digital healthcare services and knowledge transfer systems for clinical talent.
