Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance and Kenya Kwanza Alliance leadership will on Thursday hold a meeting to deliberate on the road map for the bi-partisan talks.

The meeting is expected to take place from 11 am.

In a letter seen by the Star and addressed to the Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge on Tuesday, April 18, National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung'wah has requested the venue for the talks.

"This is to request you to facilitate a meeting venue for talks on the Bi-Partisan process for a team of 6-8 members on Thursday 20th April 2023, at 11:00 am," the letter reads in part.

According to Ichung'wah, the meeting will be attended by three members from Azimio and three from Kenya Kwanza.

Among those who will attend include National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Senate Minority Leader Stewart Madzayo, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo and himself.

The letter was copied to Wandayi, Cheruiyot, Madzayo, Amollo and Tharaka MP George Murugara.

"By a copy of this letter to the Members, I hereby invite them to the same meeting at the venue your office shall communicate," Ichung'wah said.

This comes even as the Azimio leadership in a statement read by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, said it was not going to take part in the parliamentary talks.

"Last evening, we learned of a motion drafted by Kenya Kwanza leadership allegedly aimed at setting up a joint selection. The motion is in absolute bad faith because we have insisted on an extra-parliamentary process, we will therefore not participate in any such parliamentary process," he said.
