"I have been released on a cash bail of Sh50,000 to appear in Court next week. Meanwhile, kesho ivo ivo."

Sifuna and former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya were summoned to appear at DCI headquarters on Wednesday.

He said he had received a message from his lawyer that he had been summoned alongside Oparanya.

"I have been summoned to the DCI. Though they have not sent me a written summon. I just heard it from Lawyer Danstan Omari who is the coalition lawyer and they said they want me and Oparanya to appear before them," he said.

Sifuna has been vocal about the recent protests that have left a trail of destruction.

He has also made appearances in the Azimio-led demonstrations in Nairobi.

He accused police of causing chaos witnessed in the City as Azimio supporters took to the streets to protest the high cost of living and alleged election malpractices.

"Police have turned what was peaceful #Maandamano into ugly confrontation," he said.
