"Pursuant to Standing Order 112 2(a) the following members were suspended for 21 sitting days, including the day of suspension the gravely disorderly conduct during the above-mentioned house proceedings,"  reads the letter.

At the same time, the United Democratic Movement (UDM) changed its house leadership at the Isiolo county assembly.

Through its official social media outlets, the county assembly announced that Abdinoor Dima has been replaced by Abdirashid Ali as the majority leader.

"The members of the Majority party through a communication from the chief whip Hon Lorot this afternoon conveyed a message to change its Majority Leader. The MCAs resolved to replace Hon Abdinoor Dima with Hon Abdirashid Ali the MCA for Garbatulla" reads the post.

Last week, Abdinoor Dima led a section of UDM MCAs in condemning Isiolo Governor Abdi Hassan Guyo over his remarks about Marsabit county.

Dima said that the Governor had chosen to publicly declare war on their party leader.

Governor Guyo, while launching Sh35 million bursaries told off “Marsabit leaders” accusing them of intruding into Isiolo matters and asking them to focus their energies on solving the ‘myriad’ challenges facing their electorates.
