Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen on Friday met with the Chief Administrative Secretaries nominees Former Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali and former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo.
The two had paid him a call at his office.
"Today I had the pleasure of hosting the CAS nominees of the Ministry of Roads and Transport Hon. Benjamin Washiali and Hon. Nicholas Gumbo when they called on me in my office this morning," Murkomen said in a tweet.
The CS wished them well in the upcoming confirmation process in Parliament.
Washiali and Gumbo were nominated alongside 48 other names on Thursday by President William Ruto.
This was after they successfully went through vigorous interviews conducted by Public Service Commission.
The nominees are awaiting vetting by the National Assembly before appointment by the President.
The nominations are in line with Article 132(4)(a) of the Constitution.
Gumbo is among the politicians from chief opposition leader Raila Odinga's Nyanza backyard, who have declared support for Ruto.
Washiali was among the names added to the CAS shortlist on February 22.
The Public Service Commission reviewed the shortlist adding 16 new names, without giving any reasons for the addition.
