We knew long before we won the elections that once we beat him, he would organise protests all over.
It is not something he started today.
He did it during [ former President Daniel] Moi's regime. It grew during [ former President Mwai) Kibaki's regime and it got worse during [former President Uhuru] Kenyatta’s regime.
So, it is a script that we are used to.
But this time, I am very sorry for him because he is not going to succeed in the regime of President William Ruto.
First, President Ruto cannot be intimidated. He cannot be blackmailed. They tried it during the handshake and they failed.
How can Raila alone now blackmail Ruto when he [Ruto] is in charge of the government? It is not going to be possible.
Two, President Ruto understands Raila in and out. Remember, they have worked together before.
There is a time they were in Kanu together. They were both principals in ODM.
So, the President knows very well how Raila operates and he cannot allow him to destabilise his government and ruin his plans.
The President has made it absolutely clear that there is no handshake. That is what Tinga is pushing for. He will not succeed.
So, it does not matter the number of rallies he holds. It does not matter the number of street protests he is going to stage.
He can hold the protests Monday to Monday. Provided they do not disrupt business or stone people, let them continue. But this time, they are flogging a stone.
The person he is trying to intimate and blackmail cannot be moved by protests.
Let them criticize the government and hold us to account, but not through protests and stone throwing.
As they start the protests, I want to urge our police to be vigilant. We must protect the rights of other people who are not willing to go to the streets.
Kenyans are facing many problems and they will not be taken to the streets at this time.
