A woman who tried to stop her neighbour and two other men from smoking marijuana is nursing eye injuries after one of them allegedly bite her left eye.
Caleb Andabwa was charged with biting Edgar Azenga Arandi after drugging her to the ground.
According to the charge sheet, the accused person committed the offence at around 1100 hours at N -market in Dagoretti sub-county within Nairobi County.
The court heard that the woman was shocked after seeing the man in the company of two other people smoking bhang in their residential area.
She then confronted the accused who allegedly grabbed her and later assaulted her.
In the court, the accused person maintained that he was innocent and pleaded for a lenient bond term.
The court directed that the accused person be supplied with all the witness statements and documentary evidence that the prosecution intended to rely on.
Kibera senior principal magistrate Derrick Kuto granted him a cash bail of Sh20,000 with the surety of the same amount.
Kuto directed that the case be mentioned later this month for further directions.
