One of the officials of a government wing that coordinates state projects recently got the reprimand of his life after arriving for a meeting while being ill-prepared. The man was summoned to the meeting to explain the efforts he had put in place to implement projects under the new government’s manifesto. He supposedly showed up without a presentation and no list of projects that investors could consider. Corridors of Power is told the meeting convener did not hide his disappointment with the man’s shoddy preparation. Our mole whispered that the man’s days could be numbered, going by the sentiments that ensued at the meeting.

It appears top police bosses are silently protesting a recent political pronouncement that one of them had been suspended. The officers argue the government official who allegedly made the remarks overstepped his mandate. The top cops want the President to tame the state functionary over his alleged actions, and utterances, saying such orders will have repercussions. Their other fear is that such directives will affect the public at large. They hold that the decision apparently involving the officer facing removal was made in a court and by the local security committee and if anything, he should be punished. Over to you, Mr President.
