Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday held a reconciliation meeting for the Meru county leaders at the Harambee House Annex.
The meeting, which was attended by Governor Kawira Mwangaza, followed a series of talks with the leaders, separately.
"I hosted a reconciliation meeting for Meru County leaders to firm up cordial working relations among them for the benefit of the people in the county," he said.
This marks the first meeting that Kawira has had with the MCAs since Senators saved her from impeachment.
Others in attendance were Deputy Governor Mutuma Mutuma, Senator Kathuri Murungi, Assembly Speaker Ayub Bundi, MPs John Mutunga, Mugambi Rindikiri, Kirima Moses and Woman Representative Karambu Kailemia and Assembly leaders.
Gachagua pointed out that for development, the leaders needed to reconcile.
"There will be no development in an environment full of wrangles," he said.
