Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has banned early morning and evening classes in schools.

The CS directed that classes across all primary schools-public and private-be conducted between 8 am to 3.45 pm.

Machogu said some teachers force learners to attend organized extra classes late in the evening and early in the morning before 8 am.

“The stipulated time is 8am to 3.45pm. We want our pupils to be kept away from unnecessary travel,” Machogu said.
