The visit followed an invitation from Joseph Waweru Kimiti and Teresia Waweru, the Founders of the children's home.

Through their own personal hardships of losing their jobs and starting a business, the couple has always had the country’s poorest at heart.

The children's home is looking after more than 100 children.

"Children are the future of a country and giving them the best possible opportunity to succeed in their education is one of the core tenets of the Foundation," Hollywoodbets Kenya Regional Manager, Collins Opanga, said.

He added:

“The story of Joseph and Teresia is inspirational and how they are improving the lives of children through their hard work. The Hollywood Foundation is proud to be a part of this contribution to ensure that the street and orphaned children who are some of society’s most marginalised people feel loved and cared for.”

The Wairumu family on their part expressed gratitude to the Hollyhood foundation for their kind gesture.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the Hollywood Foundation for this noble gesture they have shown to the Heritage of Faith and Hope Children Home and schools. Indeed their commitment to championing education and improving the lives of our people is significantly portrayed by their donation today. We thank you.” Remarked Teresia Wairimu.

Opanga further said that the Hollywood foundation is committed to helping the vulnerable in society adding they will keep doing so to many other vulnerable communities.
