Foreign Affairs Cabinet secretary Alfred Mutua has told Kenyans to have hope in President William Ruto's leadership.

Speaking on Thursday at Citizen TV, he said, Kenyans made the right choice by voting for the Kenya Kwanza government.

“When you voted for Ruto and supported Kenya Kwanza, you did not misplace your vote, you voted the right way,” Mutua said.

The CS further said all Kenyans will get government services whether they voted for Ruto or not.

“Mbele iko sawa. There is a lot of hope and I want to tell Kenyans that your hopes are not misplaced,” he said.

Mutua further said President Ruto has made it his mission to break the tradition of tribalism and kingpins in the country.

“Ruto wanted to have a government that broke the issue of tribalism, he wanted to ensure the tradition of kingpins is dealt away with. We are getting to a place where one does not vote on basis of tribalism and we will rise to higher heights and our economy will be flying,” he said.

President Ruto has told Kenyans to give him time to deliver on the pledges he made during campaigns.

The President says he remembers all the pledges he made, mainly coming up with plans to lower the cost of living.

This is after the prices of key commodities increased, such as maize flour, used to prepare ugali – a staple food in the country.
