Rachel Ruto hosts Bishop who officiated wedding with Ruto

First lady Rachel Ruto on Friday hosted Retired Bishop Silas Yego of the African Inland Church (AIC) at State House, Nairobi.

Bishop Silas was the one who officiated their wedding with President William Ruto. 

"It was a delight to host Retired Bishop Silas Yego of the African Inland Church (AIC) at State House, Nairobi. Bishop Silas, who officiated my wedding with William, is a father figure and we are grateful for his many years of service to the church and the nation," she tweeted.

Bishop Yego was also the one who presided over the funeral service for the late President Daniel Moi held at Nyayo Stadium on February 2020.

Yego was Mzee Moi's pastor and spiritual leader. He would at times visit Moi and his family to pray with them.
