Ruto consolidates Bureti vote, trounces Raila

Odinga manages 1,426 votes against Ruto's 76,331 votes

UDA presidential candidate William Ruto has won big in Bureti constituency by garnering 76,331 votes.

His Azimio counterpart Raila Odinga trailed with 1,426 votes.

Roots George Wajackoyah managed 97 votes while Agano party David Mwaure got 40 votes.

The total number of registered voters in Bureti is 95,320 while those who cast their votes were 7,894.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission must verify ballot papers from 291 constituencies and diaspora results to announce the president-elect.

The commission is required to announce the winner within seven days.

As of Saturday night IEBC had verified results for 113 constituencies.
