Raila leads in Funyula constituency

Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is leading in Funyula constituency, Busia county.

In the results announced by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati on Friday, Raila garnered 29,827 votes while UDA presidential candidate William Ruto got 7,163 votes.

Roots Party flag-bearer George Wajackoyah had  424 votes while David Waihiga of Agano Party bagged 230 votes.

Chebukati said there were 68,829 registered voters in the constituency.

The total valid votes cast were 43,817 while 286 votes were rejected.

The polls agency will also verify diaspora votes before releasing the final tally.
