Giant social media app Twitter on Tuesday experienced a technical hitch that resulted in users being unable to access services from 9pm.
This saw some users being logged out of the application with some receiving ‘something went wrong’ messages, prompting users to try and reload the app but to no avail.

Twitter confirmed the outage that affected both iPhone and Android as well as those using computers.
A few complaints are still being raised about lagging and slow loading of tweets.
About 35 minutes later, Twitter said it had fixed the problems.
“We made an internal systems change that didn’t go as planned and have rolled it back,” @TwitterSupport tweeted.
“Twitter should now be loading as expected. Sorry about that!”
