Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has said UDA presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua did not resign from Interior Ministry but was fired on claims of desertion of duties.

Speaking on KTN News on Wednesday, the PS said he has evidence to support his utterances.

“Gachagua was actually dismissed, sacked from the Ministry of Interior for absenteeism when he was posted in North Eastern. If he resigned, he should show us the resignation letter,” he said.

Kibicho further insisted that Gachagua worked in Molo and it is on record, wondering how someone can forget where he previously worked.

He said Gachagua does not want to be associated with Molo because of the atrocities that happened at that time.

"I have seen the pathological lies he has continued to tell about everybody, including about himself and I think he needs a doctor seriously. The way I've seen the lies coming out, he doesn't look like a normal person," he said.

"It is on record that Gachagua worked in Molo, I'm the PS Interior but you hear him in public saying that he didn't work there. I don't know how you can forget your workplace."

Kibicho while defending his allegations, said he is not trying to mud-sling Gachagua but he is fed up with his public deception.

He asked Gachagua to stop denying something that is in the public domain and stop lying to the public that he stepped down in his service as a district officer.
