Ruto returns to Rift Valley stronghold in last minute vote hunt

On Sunday, Raila campaigned in Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Laikipia and Nyandarua counties.

Deputy President William Ruto will on Monday take his campaigns to four counties within the Rift Valley region.

This is part of his last minute vote hunt mission in the region believed to be his stronghold.

The counties include; Nandi, Uasin Gishu, West Pokot and Elgeyo-Marakwet.

In the tour, Ruto will start off in Nandi Hills, Kesses and Moiben constituencies.

He will then move to Kapenguria where he will have an engagement with the people at Chelang’a gardens.

The DP will close the day with rallies in Tot, Marakwet East and Iten in Keiyo North constituency.

On Sunday, Ruto held rallies in Narok and Kapkatet in Kericho before he moved to Kisii where he held another rally at Erera grounds, where he ended his day.

His opponent Raila Odinga on Sunday toured four counties of the Mt Kenya region including; Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Laikipia and Nyandarua.

In his tour, Raila and allies drummed up support for his presidential bid.
